It was the love of engineering, top gun and timepieces that drove our client to create his company Maverick Watch Stands. This project began with his vision to create an object of speed to present your watch on. It ended with something we want to drive!
When you design for a dreamer that truly values beauty in details. It can only end with a product that performs.
MultiJet Fusion 3D printing is one of our favourite ways to prototype. You can achieve impressive detail, and the parts are functional. This makes for a great way to prototype almost functional products at a reasonable cost.
On this product, colours mattered and before we headed off to injection moulding. We created three CNC'd prototypes that you see below. These prototypes were able to provide us with a much better understanding of what the product was going to look like in the final version.
After assessing this round of prototypes, we made the call to simplify the surfaces even more
