We believe in making life-long connections through great communication.

Who even are these dmc guys?

We are currently a team of three senior industrial designers originally from South Africa (Dylan is now in New Zealand). We have a wide range of experience in different industries and types of products. Our skill set varies between the three of us, and we leverage each others strengths all the time. This helps us work through projects efficiently.

What if I'm unhappy?

We have a 100% satisfaction policy. If we can't knock your socks off in the first 30 days, we'll give you your money back.

Why would I choose a monthly option?

If you have a long term project, or many projects, or bits and pieces of work that needs to be done continuously. A monthly option is a great way to manage costs and workload. We'll agree on a monthly to-do list, as well as a larger overall plan (ultimate goal). Then dmc get's down to business each month and completes the work agreed on.
You'll know what the monthly expense is going to be and we know what to get done. We track everything through Click Up for project tasks, and Slack for communication.

What is included in a monthly option?

1. All time and effort from the DMC team (research, Sketch, CAD, Renders, animations)
2. Basic prototyping and FDM 3D printing
3. All software licenses (SolidWorks 2022, KeyShot 11 Pro, Affinity)
4. All communication with your team and other parties (eng, manufacturing, etc.)
5. Sourcing, vetting and dealing with manufacturers.
6. Managing outsourced professionals (engineer, software, graphic etc.)
7. All files needed to manufacture your product.

When do I use a fixed option?

These are great for entrepreneurs or inventors wanting to test an idea or concept. You want the most bang for your buck and end up with something that you can use for pitching, marketing or testing before you commit to more development or going down the manufacturing route.
You have to have a pretty good idea of what your product is. We turn that idea into the best version of itself.

What does the design process look like?

We have 4 major phases we work through:
Phase 1 - Discovery and Research - understand your idea
Phase 2 - Design - strengthen and validate your idea
Phase 3 - Engineering design - get ready for manufacture
Phase 4 - Production setup anywhere in the world

Throughout these major phases, we use a 2 - 4 week design sprint which allows us to complete work, present the work, test and then feed any lessons back into the next design sprint.

We repeat this until the design is ready.
